Shanghai Mobile Expands EGPRS Network in Shanghai

According to China's CNII.com, China Mobile subsidiary Shanghai Mobile has completed the development of EGPRS (Enhanced General Packet Radio Service) hotspots across all subway stations in Shanghai in June, 2007. Citywide deployment of the EGPRS network is expected to be completed by the end of 2007. By then, there will be 14,000 EGPRS hotspots available across Shanghai city.
